Nude 1, red 3, wine 4, purple 6, nude 6, pink 7, d purple 7, natural 9, fuchsia 10, l brown 11 and blush 12.
I think it's fair to say I have too many of these. They're a perfect example of my problem with make up buying. I have 11 of these, some in colours I'll never wear, others shockingly similar and 2 actually the same shade. But I got a couple to try when they first came out, they were cheap and cheerful and right up my street. And then I loved them (along with the lip liners, my word those are lovely) so whenever I called into Primark for anything I'd have a look and see if there where any new colours. I call it the Pokemon effect.
These are the nude shades I have;
nude 1, nude 6, natural 9, l brown 11 and blush 11
I accidentally bought 2 of the shade nude and although they have different numbers the colour is the same. It was actually 1 of the first shades I bought (if not the first) and I really like it so I'm happy to have a spare. I like all of them and while they are similar I've managed to convince myself that there are enough differences to justify all of them.
My favourites of these would be nude, which puts me in mind of the Bourjois lip velvet in nude-ist on me, l brown, which is very 90's and has a slightly grey-is tone to it (makes me look like a corpse but I love it), natural and blush. The last 2 are nice but just a wee but lighter than suits me. Blush is quite pastel and 60's so I may try it with a heavy eye look
Onto the not so nude,
03 red, 04 wine, 06 purple, 07 pink, 07 d purple and 10 fuchsia
As you can see these all fall into the red/pink/purple category. My favourites are wine, it just looks so rich on and lasts so well, purple, I'm a total suckered for a purple lip, and pink, a gorgeous easy to wear hot pink. D purple leans a little brown on me for some reason, it's a lovely shade but probably the trickiest to pull off due the intensity. Red and fuchsia apply well but are just the wrong tone for my skin unfortunately. I may try them over a dark lip liner like cappuccino by Rimmel and see how it looks.
I find that these last well but I snack and drink tea all day so I have to be realistic about lasting power. With the nude shades it's less obvious that they're wearing away but the more vibrant colours it can be noticeable. I tend to bring a lipstick in a complimentary colour with me when I wear any long lasting lip colour, in crayon or liquid lipstick form, and top up from that as need be.
All in all I really like these. I think they're pretty similar to the Maybelline Colour Drama lip pencils but much cheaper. The only downside is that being Primark they may not stick around for long so if you see something you like you should grab it straight away.
